nrc turf and coordinator

North Rock Creek Public Schools is proud to announce two major enhancements that will elevate student experience and opportunity at every level—starting with the addition of a College Recruiting Coordinator and brand-new turf fields.

D’Morea Horton has been named NRC’s first College Recruiting Coordinator. In this newly established role, Horton will provide personalized support to students and athletes as they navigate the complex college recruitment process. His work will include maintaining recruitment records, building professional social media profiles, working with coaches and teachers, and connecting with colleges across the country. His ultimate goal is to help students gain exposure and increase their chances of competing and succeeding at the next level.

In addition, NRC is thrilled to share plans for the installation of turf fields on campus. This upgrade will offer a high-quality, durable surface for athletic and recreational use, benefiting students from elementary through high school. The new fields will not only improve safety and functionality but also enhance school pride and provide a space that supports both growth and excellence.

These exciting developments are part of NRC’s ongoing commitment to investing in students’ futures—on and off the field.
